Media Literacy and Civic Storytelling Labs
Turn your story into civic voice
The REFLECT Media Literacy & Civic Storytelling Labs support young people in critically engaging with online media and creating powerful digital stories rooted in their identities, realities and aspirations.
Through interactive labs, peer exchange and creative mentoring, participants explore misinformation, digital ethics, visual storytelling and social impact communication.

Civic Storytelling Labs
Creative spaces for youth voices
Selected participants take part in interactive Civic Storytelling Labs delivered over six months in a hybrid format, combining live online workshops with self-paced tasks hosted on the REFLECT Moodle platform.
Facilitators guide participants through creative modules on visual storytelling, podcasting, photovoice and ethical digital publishing.
International teams
Participants work in cross-country teams, exchanging perspectives and building shared learning across different contexts.
Story development
Youth submit initial story concepts, helping facilitators prepare mentoring sessions aligned with their interests and ideas.
Peer review
Cross-country peer review sessions create space for feedback, intercultural exchange and creative improvement.
Digital production
Each team conceptualises and produces a media piece such as a short documentary, podcast, community blog or photo essay.
Who takes part
A selected group of young storytellers
The activity will involve 15 youth participants from each partner country.
Priority will be given to young people who have completed previous REFLECT activities such as virtual dialogue or training activities and who demonstrate creativity or interest in storytelling.
The selection process will be based on an open call shared through REFLECT communication channels. Applicants will be invited to complete a short application, with attention to inclusivity, diversity and digital access readiness.
